Purpose: Provides a forum for the exchange of ideas among those persons working with or interested in electronic resources; promotes the acquisition and access of electronic resources collections; strengthens communication and cooperation among persons working with electronic resources collections; addresses issues related to collection management and development of electronic resources, their funding, and selection; and contributes to the improvement of education and training of electronic resource archivists and librarians.

    Title: Electronic Resources Librarian

     Position Description: The Kelvin Smith Library (KSL) of Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) seeks a creative, collaborative individual to serve as Electronic Resources Librarian. As part of the Acquisitions and Metadata Services team, the Electronic Resources Librarian is responsible for the content management, licensing, and discovery of all of the library's electronic serials and databases. The Electronic Resources Librarian manages access to the library's electronic resources using the electronic resources management system, discovery service, ILS, link resolver, authentication service, and A–Z database list, and works with vendors to provide consistent, user-friendly access. The position will also collaborate with other teams at KSL, particularly the Planning, Budgets, & Assessment and Research Services teams, to coordinate the selection, acquisition, and evaluation of electronic resources.

    Qualifications – Experience: The initial rank of the Electronic Resources Librarian, Acquisition & Metadata Services, will be based upon the qualifications of the individual with regard to that person's professional knowledge, abilities, and skills; contributions to the profession through service and scholarly endeavors; and professional qualities consistent with university and library values. 
    Education/Licensing: A Master of Library & Information Science degree.
