Friday, June 24th will be ebook Friday at ALA Annual.

Running from roughly 9 am to 4 pm (after which, at least in pre-COVID days, people often adjourned for some social time), we will have various sessions of interest to those who have some interest in library digital content.

There will be a session for the CORE Ebooks Interest Group and also a CONSORTIAL Ebooks Interest session.

If interested in scheduling another session during this time-say, a SimplyE and/or Palace meeting, please let me know.

More details and exact times to follow.

Will there be online options for any of those meetings, for any of us still not quite ready for post-Covid travel? At this point, I'm not sure of my plans one way or the other, but can't guarantee I'll be ready or willing to travel by air by that time.

    Thanks,

    Will

    Hi, Will,

An excellent question and the answer is . . . I'm not sure.  Let me find out.  Many may not yet have their organizations ready to allow employee travel by June. We can hope for a virtual option.  Details once I can provide them.

Following up on your question, Will.

The answer is yes, we will offer a virtual option. I'll set up a Zoom and use a microphone and speakers with laptop to try to allow for interaction between in-person and virtual attendees. We'll do our best!
