Hello,
I'm looking for author(s) to write on digital preservations for the "Biz of Digital" column in
Against the Grain (http://www.against-the-grain.com/). The "Biz of Digital" column features discussions by working librarians on digital collections, digital repositories, or digital scholarship. Its audience is librarians in all types of libraries and vendors of products, services, and systems that support library digital services. Its focus is on current practices, techniques, processes, and information on events in the field.
Against the Grain is a down-to-earth, practice-orientated library journal. Ideas for articles include:
- Preservation of your library's digital collections or institution repository
- Preservation of specific types of digital materials, such as data, digital maps, etc.
- A web archiving project that you're doing
- Consortial digital preservation
Feel free to choose any of these topics, or one of your own. Theoretical articles, research reports, "how-to" articles, case studies, literature reviews and conceptual or opinion pieces are welcome. Article length should be approximately 1200-1500 words (4-5 pages, double-spaced).
Contributions may be written by individuals or co-authored.
