We encourage and seek out participation from anyone with an interest in cataloging - from public, academic, school, or special libraries - regardless of experience level or training.

    The meeting of the Cataloging Norms Interest Group (CNIG) met at the American Library Association Midwinter meeting in Denver on Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 10:30-11:30 am.  


    Presenters:


    Ilda Cardenas, Monographic Cataloger at Mississippi State University, presented Catalogers Who Cyberstalk: authority control and social media use.


    Christine Dunleavy, Library Operations Manager in the Collection Development and Technical Services Department at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg, presented Florida Academic Library's Catalog Data Integration and Migration.


    Joanna Ewing, Faculty Librarian and Head of Cataloging at University of Central Arkansas, presented Meeting Patrons in the Middle: adapting cataloging practices to better meet user needs.
