Dear all,
The CORE Copy Cataloging Interest Group seeks two volunteers to serve one year (2021-2022) as vice co-chairs, then transition to co-chairs the next year (2022-2023). Our charge is to discuss common problems concerning copy cataloging, including quality control, work-flows, copy cataloging of all kinds of materials (monographs, serials, audiovisuals, etc.), staffing needs, training, and effects of changes in cataloging rules.
As vice co-chair, you will assist with the planning and delivery of the Group's meetings, including solicitation for speakers and selection of topics to be presented. As co-chair, you will assume full responsibility for planning the meetings, filing reports to ALA, and selecting incoming vice co-chairs. Attendance at ALA Midwinter (virtual session in 2021) and Annual Conferences for the two-year commitment is required. No prior experience is necessary.
