Thanks Peter. I think this is a critical clarification because a lot of the arguments I'm seeing are about affirming the MLS as THE degree for the ED because ALA accredits it - I think because of the resolution as stated only allowing for the MLS. But, if the policy stays as is, the MLS is not affirmed ...

I was revisiting this today and realized that the current policy is an MLS or an NCATE. What's the rationale for dropping the NCATE completely? It wouldn't even be one of the preferred?
