As expected, the Trump administration is launching a crackdown on students who have protested against Israel's destruction of Gaza, with an executive order authorizing the deportation of noncitizen students and a threat of "immediate action" by federal prosecutors against protestors the administration accuses of "terroristic threats, arson, vandalism, and violence against American Jews" while providing no examples of these alleged crimes.

In response to the executive order, Jewish Voice for Peace executive director Stefanie Fox states: "We stand with the student protestors who so bravely put their bodies and academic careers on the line to save lives and demand an end to the Israeli military's destruction of Gaza."
