The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Hello,

    Our next Action Council meeting is TOMORROW Wednesday, March 25 at 2:00 PM Atlantic / 1:00 PM Eastern / 12:00 PM Central / 11:00 AM Mountain / 10:00 AM Pacific. We hope you can join us!

    The DRAFT agenda for Wednesday's Action Council meeting is linked here.  Please be sure to review the agenda for links to other documents pertinent to the upcoming meeting. Note that a couple of shared documents are still pending, but should be linked & available for viewing in time for the meeting. If you emailed us an agenda item or report, and don't see it included, please email both Rachel and Olivia and we will update the agenda and/or reports doc accordingly.
