The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Dear SRRT Members,

SRRT Zine'26, issued to note ALA's 150th anniversary, will be available at the annual conference next week.  Basically, it's an abridged encyclopedia of SRRT's contributions to ALA and librarianship as a whole.

For those of you not attending the conference, I will have a limited number available to anyone who would like a copy mailed to them.  Please email me directly at eharger@drizzle.com and supply your postal address.

Attached is a photo!  And, many thanks to those of you who helped make the idea a reality!

    In solidarity,

    Elaine
