The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

  • 1.  SRRT Membership Survey

    Posted 18 days ago

    Hi Everyone,

As one of the newest members soon to serve on the SRRT Action Council, I echo April's call to fill out the SRRT Membership Survey.

he Action Council needs your voice and vision of what we should and need to do as a Round Table. What are the social justice topics that you think SRRT should be working on now? What issues would you like to see SRRT pursue? What barriers are you facing as a member of SRRT? Your responses will help us on the Action Council know the direction to take or at least affirm we are making the right decisions for our members.

Please take a few minutes to fill out the survey at: https://astate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4NPlUp1goZEyK3k.

The deadline to complete the survey is extended to May 12, 2024.

We appreciate your feedback and thank you to those who have already filled out the survey.

    Sincerely,

    Derek Wilmott
