The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

  • 1.  SRRT Membership Survey

    Posted 12 days ago
    SRRT Members,

Action Council and the Membership Committee want to hear from you about what social justice topics are important to you, things you'd like to see SRRT do, as well as any barriers you may have to being a member.

To help us learn more about our members, we have developed an anonymous survey at https://astate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4NPlUp1goZEyK3k.

We hope that you are able to take the time to complete the survey by May 4, 2024.

    All -

Thank you to everyone who filled out the membership survey!

We still need more responses! I would greatly appreciate if you can take the time to fill out the membership survey. We really want to hear from everyone - you do not have to be a part of Action Council to participate.

I may or may not have forgotten that I'll be on vacation next week, so the deadline to complete the survey will be extended to May 12, 2024.
