SRRT (Social Responsibilities Round Table)

The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Hello all! Hope your week is off to a great start.

    Below is the agenda and Zoom info for the SRRT Action Council meeting, scheduled for tomorrow (Tues. 9/4) at 12 PM Eastern / 11 AM Central / 10 AM Mountain / 9 AM Pacific. Please let me know if I've inadvertently left anything out (including links, etc.).

    All SRRT members are welcome and encouraged to attend!!

    Action Council members: With much ground to cover again this month, we're likely to take the full hour & a half. Out of respect for one another, as well as our limited time together, please remember to share the floor. Remarks may need to be kept brief for time.

    One correction:

    Tomorrow is Wednesday, September 4!! Not Tuesday (which is today, of course!)
