SRRT (Social Responsibilities Round Table)

The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

  • 1.  Problems with Sending Discussions

    Posted Feb 10, 2023 11:09 AM

It seems that when trying to send a discussion to this platform, when I enter the URL only, there is a glitch where the URL becomes the TITLE of the site/page to which I want to forward. I then get a small white,  round-cornered, rectangular box with blue dots in it, and am prevented from doing anything further: I cannot post the discussion, I cannot go back, and I am frozen from doing ANYTHING other than deleting the entire post.

Is this MY problem or a systems problem?

Are you starting discussions from within Connect or via email using the ALA_SRRT@ConnectedCommunity.org email? If you are using Connect, there is the ability to turn off content preview for links (it's under the Discussion Subject box). I know the content preview sometimes causes me problems, so I frequently turn it off in Connect.
