The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Hello all, and Happy November!

    Below is the agenda and Zoom info for the SRRT Action Council meeting, scheduled for this Monday, November 4, at 2 PM Atlantic / 1 PM Eastern / 12 PM Central / 11 AM Mountain / 10 AM Pacific. (See the end of this message for a listing of the expected schedule for upcoming meetings, through June 2025.)

    Any agenda omissions or errors are entirely unintentional - please let me know if anything needs to be corrected and I'll be sure to do so for our meeting.

    All SRRT members are welcome and encouraged to attend!

    Action Council members: our agenda is likely to take our full hour & a half. Out of respect for one another, as well as our limited time together, please remember to share the floor. Remarks may need to be kept brief for time.
