The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Hello all!

SRRT and the Rainbow Round Table are joining up for some free virtual programming, Pride and Protection: Queer Library Workers in a Polarized Cultural Landscape, on June 12th.

You can learn more about each session, including the times, at https://www.ala.org/srrt/events/prideandprotection

I am hoping to find 2-3 moderators for the sessions. Moderators will appear on camera and will introduce the presenter and ask questions from the chat and Q&A panel during the Q&A portion of the session. We will provide an introductory script.

If you are interested and are able to make the session, please email me.
