The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

  • 1.  Listening Session recording?

    Hi all,

I had to miss yesterday's listening session, but I'd be interested in watching a recording of it. Was it recorded?

    Thanks,

    Rory Litwin

    Hi Rory,

Thank you. We did not record the listening session. This was intentionally done so people could freely share their concerns, questions, and suggestions. Currently, the Programming Committee members are working to put the information shared at the meeting into a report to be given at the SRRT Action Council meeting. We also hope to bring our findings to ALA leadership.

The report will be available to all members via the SRRT Action Council minutes.

    Sincerely,
