The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

LFP - AI in Libraries Survey

Saw this in the current Library Freedom Project newsletter and thought folks might be interested in sharing their thoughts:

Library Freedom Project is conducting a
survey to understand library worker attitudes,
    experiences, and concerns towards artificial
    intelligence (AI).

This survey reflects LFP's skeptical approach
toward AI adoption, and as such, focuses
mostly on AI's potential harms. If you're
looking for a survey about how great AI is,
we're certain you can find that elsewhere.

Please share with your networks! We intend to
write about the results in a major library
    publication.
