The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

From 2018-2024, SRRT won 7 resolutions in the ALA Council and lost 9. I would say that is not bad, 44% success rate.

    You're welcome! /bow

What record are you setting straight? In the other thread on the AC forum we were talking about the success rate of IRTF's resolutions specifically. Is that what you're addressing?  Or something else? Because as I'm sure you know we are talking about very specific topics and strategies and so taking credit for FTF's Dewey Award resolution or any of the ALA internal policy work doesn't really help make that case.
