SRRT (Social Responsibilities Round Table)

The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Curious about the Social Responsibility Round Table? Do you want to learn more about work and programs of SRRT and their Task Forces?

    Come join the Social Responsibilities Round Table for their All-Task Force Meeting and Member Connect!

    This is an open session for all SRRT Task Force members, general SRRT members, and those interested members considering joining SRRT. The Session will begin with a general SRRT membership orientation and welcome, followed by a presentation of the Herb Biblo Award to this year's winner, Richard Chabrán. Task Force members will then connect for the first 45 minutes to discuss their current work and upcoming plans.

    Light catering will be provided.
