The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Just a FYI -

This year has been tough. I am going to take Fall Break to try and disconnect, focus on my friends and family, and recharge. From now until the beginning of next week, I will mostly be away from my email and may not respond until I'm back. Don't worry, I'll be back in full force next week. :)

Take care and I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate it.

It is time to rest, April.  It has been a good but long summer for advocacy everywhere.  May everyone find the rest they need during this break!

    Best Regards,
    Don
