SRRT (Social Responsibilities Round Table)

The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Happy New Year everyone!!!

     

    I just wanted to let everyone know that SRRT Action Council meetings have moved to the third Friday of each month now through Annual. The new days are:

    • January 20
    • February 17
    • March 17
    • April 21
    • May 19

    Meeting time: 11am Central (12pm Eastern, 10am Mountain, 9am Pacific, 8am Alaskan, 7am Hawaiian)

     

    As always, Action Council meetings are open to everyone through Zoom: https://ala-events.zoom.us/j/99436180731?pwd=cnJPM0d2WlN4bCtzU1NlY3Y4TUsvUT09. If a meeting is changed or cancelled, noticed will be given in a timely manner.
