SRRT (Social Responsibilities Round Table)

The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Then it's time to move on! The ACRL 2025 Call for Proposals is NOW AVAILABLE!

    The ACRL 2025 Conference will be held April 2 - 5, 2025, in Minneapolis, MN, and online. The theme is: Democratizing Knowledge, Access & Opportunities.

    This conference will reshape the landscape of higher education for generations to come. We have the chance to reimagine how academic libraries can serve our communities and democratize information access in a complex, ever-changing world.

    Share your scholarly research and innovative pursuits at ACRL 2025! The first proposal deadline is June 7, 2024.
