The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Hello everyone,

New member here. I am an academic librarian (Harvard) and doctoral student (Simmons) researching how librarians and allied information professionals evaluate news content. One of the aims of the project is to help improve instructional materials/approaches in light of what professionals do.

If you would be willing to participate in this IRB-approved study (Simmons University), please click on the following link, where you will find more information.

    https://harvard.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0BwwcBpTGorN8NM

The survey should take 15 to 30 minutes. Participants will have a chance to win a $20 gift card (1/10 chance of winning).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask here, or to email me or my advisor, Prof. Laura Saunders, at at matthew.sullivan@simmons.edu or laura.saunders@simmons.edu.

    Thank you in advance

    Matt
