The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Hey all!!

I do a (cost and obligation free) Children’s/YA Newsletter. It used to be San Francisco Bay Area specific, but now, with so many virtual events, it’s not completely geographically limited (although I do still post physical Bay Area events). It’s been running for over 25 years, and has over 2000 subscribers, so please feel free to send me information you’d like to see included in it

Here’s the latest one (I send once a week, I aim for every Wednesday)

Subscribing should be simple via the newsletter - if you have any problems, please feel free to e-mail me directly. Also, please feel free to spread the word.

    Thanks!!
