CAPAL23: SOWING SEEDS FOR CHANGE CONFERENCE CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The Conference will run in person June 1-2, 2023. In keeping with the Congress 2023 theme, Reckonings & Re-Imaginings, the theme of CAPAL23 is Sowing Seeds for Change: Growing the Practice of Academic Librarianship. Sowing Seeds for Change encourages our membership to consider how we cultivate and tend to the practice of academic librarianship. Just as seeds are borne from the fruit of the previous year's crop, our professional practices grow and blossom over years of experimentation and iteration. This theme will focus on how we achieve needed change in the discipline, particularly as it relates to equity, diversity, and inclusion. The theme also invites us to consider how we build structures that inspire and support growth as much as we tend to the seeds of change we grow.

L'APPEL À PROPOSITIONS MAINTENANT OUVERT
ACBES23 se déroulera en personne les 1er et 2 juin 2023. Dans la foulée du thème du Congrès, « Confronter le passé, réimaginer l'avenir » le thème de l'ACBES23 est « Semer les graines du changement : faire évoluer la pratique de la bibliothéconomie universitaire ».
Semer des graines pour le changement encourage nos membres à réfléchir à la manière dont nous cultivons et entretenons la discipline de la bibliothéconomie universitaire. Tout comme les graines naissent des fruits, nos habitudes professionnelles grandissent et s'épanouissent au fil des années d'expérimentation et d'itération. Ce thème se concentrera sur la façon dont nous réalisons les changements nécessaires dans la discipline, en particulier en ce qui concerne l'impartialité, la diversité et l'inclusion. Le thème nous invite également à réfléchir à la façon dont nous construisons des structures qui soutiennent la croissance, tout en favorisant le changement.
