SRRT (Social Responsibilities Round Table)

The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Hello,

    I'm a new SRRT member. I am trying to locate the candidate statements for the upcoming election. Could you point me in the right direction? Also, when will ballots become available?

    The ballots go out March 11. Any statements the candidates have provided will be available in the ballot.

    • Currently an SRRT and IFRT member, Co-Chair of SRRT's Programming Committee 2023-24,  and member of CORE's Access/Equity Leadership Team, as well as ODLOS' Services to Refuges, Immigrants and Displaced Persons Sub-committee (SRIDP). Also, member of REFORMA affiliate.
