The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Hi everyone!

The Rainbow RoundTable's Program Planning Committee will be hosting monthly brown bag lunches with (very casual) presentations, with some level of open discussion. The presentation format is completely open and up to you (presentation with Q&A, open discussion, workshop, casual conversation, etc.). Would anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community like to present any work, projects, collaborations, or research related to the LGBTQIA+ community?

If you are interested, please feel free to respond here (and I'll message you) or message me directly via Connect to discuss the logistics and your idea.
