SRRT (Social Responsibilities Round Table)

The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Happy Friday, all!

    Below is the agenda and Zoom info for the SRRT Action Council meeting, scheduled for Mon. 8/5 at 1 PM Eastern / 12 PM Central / 11 AM Mountain / 10 AM Pacific.

    All SRRT members are welcome and encouraged to attend!!

    Action Council members: Note that we have a very full agenda, and we're likely to take the full hour & a half. Out of respect for one another, as well as our limited time together, please come prepared to share the floor. If you tend to speak a lot, try to take a step back to allow others a chance to share, and if you tend to stay quiet, try to speak up more and share your views. Our diverse voices & viewpoints help make SRRT such a fantastic round table!
