The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    With apologies for cross-posting

Since 2020, the Association for Library Service to Children's Library Services to Underserved Children and Their Caregivers Committee has been developing toolkits to support library workers in serving traditionally underserved children and their caregivers. These toolkits are available here: https://www.ala.org/alsc/publications-resources/professional-tools/toolkit-services-underserved-children

The current LSUCTC Committee is interested in your experiences with the existing toolkits and your ideas for new ones. We hope you will take a few minutes to complete this brief survey to help us continue to develop materials to support you in your work with children and families: https://forms.gle/qa2LqBGjndCNK8Ph9

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns: lsuctc@gmail.com

    Thank you!
