The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Hi All,

Sharing that the submission site to submit program and poster topics for ALA 2027 has officially opened! Instructions on submitting programs or posters, evaluation rubrics, and timeline of notifications are all included on the site. Deadline to submit proposals is Monday, September 21.

Please note that this is only the call for juried educational programs and posters, not membership or governance meetings, special or ticketed events for ALA member groups/awards, or Chairs programs.
