The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Dear SRRT Colleagues,

I would not normally use this channel to promote ARL-related events, but I thought this summer conference particularly well-suited to this audience of strong advocates and activists for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Access, and Justice.  I just wanted to make sure it was on SRRT's radar as folks make summer plans. We're well on our way to having 600+ people in attendance.  I hope I will see many of you there.     -Andrew
