The Social Responsibilities Round Table works to make ALA more democratic and to establish progressive priorities not only for the Association, but also for the entire profession. Concern for human and economic rights was an important element in the founding of SRRT and remains an urgent concern today. SRRT believes that libraries and librarians must recognize and help solve social problems and inequities in order to carry out their mandate to work for the common good and bolster democracy.

    Hello everyone!

Intersections, ODLOS' blog, is seeking blog posts from library workers and students on the following topics:

    • How you practice self-care in 2020 and/or any recommendations you have for those feeling overwhelmed.

Interested in writing for Intersections but on a different topic? We are also looking for bloggers to write about topics surrounding equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).

Bloggers may submit interest by Friday, August 7. First drafts will be due Friday, August 28.

If you are interested in any of the above writing opportunities, you can learn more about Intersections by visiting the blog. The general criteria are listed below:

    • Articles are typically 350-600 words
    • Include 2-3 high-quality images
    • Content must be original (i.e. article is not published elsewhere)

    Best,

    Amber

    Hey Amber,

thanks for the heads up about this.  If we would like to do a joint article, is that alright?  I've been doing Racial healing Circles out here with a colleague, Elkid Alvarez Maldonado, and we're considering proposing a joint-post, if that would be of interest to you all.  If so, how should i indicate that in the form.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hi Nick- no problem!

I don't believe there is a character limit on the form  so you should be able to fit both contacts. If not, list yourself and we'll go from there.
