Michelle Y. Roubal received her Master’s Degree in Library Science from Northern Illinois University. She began her career at the Chicago Public Library and has worked for a number of libraries throughout Chicagoland. She is currently an Associate Professor at Joliet Junior College working in the JJC Library, offering library instruction and teaching courses and advising in the Library Technical Assistant certificate program.
As a trainer, Michelle has presented programs for national and state conferences, individual libraries and library systems, on topics ranging from reference communication skills to change management.
She has served on various ALA, RUSA, ILA, ISL and LACONI committees. Most recently, she was elected ALA/LIRT Secretary/Archivist.
Michelle enjoys the NHL hockey, MLB baseball, swimming, films, and reading.
