Bio
Manage daily work of the cataloging department including original cataloging, copy cataloging, metadata creation, and database maintenance.
Supervise, train and evaluate student and library staff.
Perform original and copy cataloging, create, maintain and enrich metadata for library materials in all formats, including books, serials, audio-visual, digital and electronic resources.
Assist in evaluating and documenting policies, procedures and workflows for cataloging, database maintenance and non-MARC metadata creation within the library.
Create original bibliographic and non-MARC metadata records and perform cataloging maintenance using RDA (Resource Description and Access), AACR2, LCC (Library of Congress Classification) and LCSH (Library of Congress Subject Headings) and other non-MARC metadata related formats.
Responsible for oversight of all aspects of record quality and catalog integrity.
Maintain knowledge of and engage in continuous professional development to keep up with current and developing standards and practices for metadata and cataloging.
Serve on library and university committees.
