Bio

Laurie Putnam is a communications consultant and a lecturer at San Jose State University’s School of Information. She has a deep interest in civic engagement and believes in the power of libraries, journalism, and communities to strengthen our information ecosystems. By day she coaches students on communications and helps clients in a variety of industries tell their stories; by night she continues her work as founder and team leader of the Library and Information Science Publications Wiki, a resource for librarians who write.
