I think this sort of critical analysis of games, gaming, and gender is desperately needed and it would be wonderful if the GameRT and ALA had a vocal role in supporting it. ...

Hello Gamers! In my ongoing attempt at getting a circulating board game collection going at my library system moving, I hit a small snag. There is a concern over missing parts and what to charge for them (despite my assurances that every library I talk to who circulates games rarely have an issue ...

I prefer to used games like "Tomorrow" by Conquistador Games to serve as an opener to conversations about theme, censorship, and appropriateness. It is a semi-cooperative game with players taking the role of nations attempting to jockey for power while doing the, unfortunately necessary, of depopulating ...

I could do any of the above. Except teaching Magic: The Gathering... I'd love to present on starter game collections for under $150 and teach whatever board game needs teaching. John

I heard about this on "On Board Games" and it sounded interesting. I knew the designer of the game usually did family/party games but didn't realize he did Wits & Wagers. I'll give it a gander and maybe throw some money at it. Kickstarter can be a deep rabbit hole to fall into! John

We only recently began circulating select titles from our library gaming collection (about 100 games). Other than including a list of parts and asking that patrons who borrow to please check before and after, we rarely have any issue with missing parts. This could be, in part, due to the fact that ...
