Dear Councilors,<u2:p></u2:p>
You are cordially invited to the Pre-LLX Training session, hosted by the Council Training and Engagement Committee. For those of you who are serving your first term on Council, we know that it can be a little overwhelming even for those who have served before. Instead of presenting a lot of information at one time just before you have your first Hybrid Council meeting, we plan to start only with Parliamentary Procedure.<u2:p></u2:p>
On Thursday, January 11th, you will get to mingle and get to know each other via Zoom. The ALA Parliamentarian will introduce basic Robert's Rules of Order and discuss parliamentary procedure. We will also explain how the council and committees work together on resolutions. First time Councilors will learn how to read a resolution, whereas and resolved clauses.
