Dear Council Members,
The ALA Council is set to convene in a hybrid manner at the 2024 Annual Conference taking place from Saturday to Monday, June 29th to July 1st. All council-related agendas and materials are accessible on ALA Connect and the ALA Council Website.
Voting Credentials
ALA Council members will be sent an email containing their voting credentials by the ALA Governance Office, which should be used for all Council meetings. In case you do not receive your voting credentials by Tuesday, June 24th, kindly reach out to the ALA Governance Office. Remember not to share or forward your voting credentials as they are specific to your voting history.
Digital Participants
To register for the Council webinar here: https://ala-events.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_PXT87z7SQnm0qWVHY4OWAw#/registration. Please log-on 10 minutes before the start of each Council meeting.
Establishing the Quorum
Please ensure that all participants, whether attending in person or digitally, click on your voting credentials to virtually check in and notify us of your attendance.
Printed Documents
To support ALA's Core Values of Sustainability and minimize printing expenses, only Council agendas will be printed at the Annual Conference venue. If necessary, Councilors have the option to print documents on-site at the Convention Center, in Lobby F.
Items to Bring
Please remember to bring your tablet, laptop, or handheld device to make the most of your time at the Council. Don't forget to pack water, a jacket or sweater, and your power cords. If you have any specific needs, reach out to the ALA Governance Office at governance@ala.org.
