Hi, all! I want to highlight a change to the proposed resolution, and share the updated document here. These changes come with the input of the COD and IFC, and I believe they constitute an improvement as they are more specific. Happy to take any questions!
Previously, Resolved Clause #3 read as follows:
Rejects neutrality rhetoric moving forward, and will specifically cease using the term "neutral" and derivatives to describe appropriate library and association activities.
Now, Resolved Clause #3 is:
Charges the Working Group on Intellectual Freedom and Social Justice, with a representative from the Committee on Diversity, to review neutrality rhetoric and identify alternatives, sharing findings by July 1, 2021.
