Here is the final draft of the Legislative Agenda. Comments and edits from the Govt. Relations Commitee have been incorporated. It is now ready to be shared with interested groups before being submitted.
I have added Elizabeth and Kara's canges. Though left Kara's comments because they seem to be waiting on future language. Most importantly, i have updated the section of open access to federal research with the release of today's policy memo from the OSTP. We may nee to edit this as reaction gorws and the Association developes a positin, so it is pretty general for now.
Attached are my suggested changes to the legislative agenda. Mostly it’s introductory matter that explains the agenda and the watch list. I also put in a small bit of text on FASTR, but let’s see what else we can incorporate from FAQs http://www.arl.org/sparc/resources/sparc-faq-for-the-fair-access-to-science-and-techn.shtml and talking points http://www.taxpayeraccess.org/action/FASTR_calltoaction.shtml
Again, we’re not in a huge hurry to get this to the Board, so we can update the “current status” for our three main issues in March.
For now, I think it looks really good!
Kara
Here are a few additional edits (uploaded; see tracked changes).
