You can enter this virtual world as a guest and meet at the Welcome Center.
Instructions
Go to

ENTER as GUEST
Enter a name tag others will recognize.
You will get a unisex avatar
Read the instruction sign in front of you
Click on the scene to make it 3D.
Use the Esc key to leave 3D and get your cursor back.
There are several ways to walk.
(Some are for smart phones)
They are a bit like SL, but not completely
Practice walking around.
Walk around and look and other signs.
Evie will be there to help you
You can enter text in chat--Note that you have to press the
Send button to enter it -- Return will not do it.
When you are ready to use voice:
Be sure your voice is off in SL (you will still be able to hear).
Click the Mic button (bottom left).
Note that voice is on. You can mute it.
If you are not hearing everyone, click Reload Voice Channel.
