Zine Librarians unConference - Programming form

  • 1.  Zine Librarians unConference - Programming form

    Posted Jul 14, 2025 05:24 PM

    Hello,

The ZLuC Programming Committee is  in the process of planning the Zine Librarians unConference, to be held virtually on November 8 & 9th, 2025. Unconferences use participant interest to drive their topics of conversation. (For more information, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference.)  We want to hear from our potential attendees regarding what YOU would most like to discuss and learn about!

Please fill out this form to make suggestions about the topics of conversation you would like to participate in, relating to zines and/or librarianship. We welcome the suggestions of all, regardless of how new or experienced you are in world of either zines or libraries. Additional suggestions for gatherings- such as craft-alongs, library tours, lightning talks, and other extracurriculars- are also welcome.

We are also looking for "conversation starters" to help with this programming. Conversation starters would be a few people who help facilitate discussions around a specific topic by sharing their experience in the area and / or posing engaging discussion questions for the group. A conversation starter would agree to show up at a predetermined date / time, use their camera and mic to start a discussion, and pay attention to the attendees to incorporate them in the conversation. A conversation starter would not be responsible for talking the entire time or have materials (handouts, slides, etc.) prepared in advance. If you would like to be a "conversation starter," please sign up below.
