Hello, Universal Accessibility Interest Group members!

Maya Hobscheid here, the 2021-2022 Interest Group Convener, and Trisha Prevett, the 2021-2022 Incoming Convener. We'd like to welcome you to the new academic year! We both hope that we can foster engaged and thoughtful questions and conversations through this group.

We will continue to use the ALA Connect page as the primary form of communication.

Group members who are subscribed to the Connect page can also use the following discussion list address to communicate with the group: ALA-acrluaig@ConnectedCommunity.org

When a member sends a message to the Connect email address, it will post directly to your group's ALA Connect Community. Additionally:

    • Members of this community will get an email notification with the full message. They can respond either directly via email or by logging into Connect and replying to the discussion post within the community.
    • Members can adjust their Connect settings to receive individual email notifications in real-time or a digest format.

Please feel free to reach out to me or Trisha with any questions about staying connected to this group. As you come across issues, updates, or helpful resources related to accessibility this year don't be afraid to post to our community! We all can benefit from learning from one another.

Trisha and I are looking forward to the engaging discussions that we hope to have with you all during this incredibly complex time. Our shared collective wisdom is truly amazing, and we know we'll benefit from partnering together!

    All best,

    Maya and Trisha
