ANSS is looking for a few more good people to run for office for next year. I am looking for candidates for three offices yet. These are a great way to get to know new anthropology/sociology/criminology librarians and, at the same time, to show your institutions your national activity within your discipline. Best yet, none of them are hard!

Vice Chair/Chair elect: 3 year term (1 as vice chair, 1 as chair, 1 as past chair)
    Recording Secretary: 2 year term
Member at Large: 2 year term

If you are interested in running for any of these offices, please let me know. You can find out more information about each of these offices in the ANSS Manual for Officers, Chairs, and Committee Members -

Manual for Officers, Chairs and Committee Members

This is a great section to be involved in and I encourage all members to consider running.
