Several free webinars were brought to my attention by colleagues that may be of interest to others here.

The first one is from RDAP (Research Data Access & Preservation) Association and takes place tomorrow (my apologies for the short notice).

    Kaffee Klatsch: Improving Accessibility
Join us for an RDAP Kaffeeklatsch where we create a welcoming safe space to share and discuss strategies for improving accessibility in data, presentations, websites, and more!  For more context, feel free to read the article, "Actually Accessible Data: An Update and a Call to Action." https://doi.org/10.31274/jlsc.15449 but all are welcome to attend and contribute, regardless of prior preparation.

The second is from NISO and will be held next Tuesday, December 17th.

Advancing Digital Accessibility for Scientific and Technical Publications

The DAISY Consortium, the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the National Information Standards Organization (NISO) are pleased to announce that they are partnering to support and advance the accessibility of scientific and technical publications to people with disabilities through a series of virtual public forums. Building on work initiated in 2024 by the US White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), these meetings will seek to advance the goal of ensuring the digital accessibility of content.
