The Transforming Libraries for Graduate Students conference committee is seeking peer reviewers to review proposals for the upcoming virtual conference on March 12-13, 2024.
Presentations are expected to cover aspects of supporting graduate programs in libraries and professional development for graduate librarians. In addition to fundamental issues such as research workshops; systematic and literature reviews; copyright; scholarships; and OER, suggestions for additional topics include collaborations with graduate students and faculty; ethics and academic integrity; students as researchers and instructors; scholarly communication; online instruction; non-traditional, international, and under-served students; data services; professional development topics such as tenure and promotion; publishing; research teams and the research life cycle. For Day Two, priority will be given to presentations that address the professional development of graduate librarians, with topics such as continuing education; tenure and promotion; publishing; and the research life cycle.
This will be a light workload that does not require a heavy time commitment. Peer reviewers will have no more than three proposals each to review.
Timeline:
- Peer Review in November and December.
- Final decisions are due December 31, 2023.
- Participants will be notified in early January 2024.
Peer reviewers will also agree to moderate a virtual session during the conference.
