Please consider taking our survey by Friday March 15th.

We invite library workers in or adjacent to health sciences librarianship in the United States to participate in a 10-15 minute survey. This survey seeks to measure your job expectations and level of support and knowledge about the topic of data librarianship. All health sciences and health-related librarians are welcome, whether you do or do not expect to support data services. We are particularly seeking input from health sciences librarians who are new to data librarianship; have been newly tasked with data service requests; and/or are expanding into new data services.

We aim to publish a paper on support for data needs in Health Science/ Medical Libraries. The results from the study will contribute to assessing the existing support for data librarian positions and determine whether there is a need for increased data librarian positions and professional development opportunities.

Participation is optional. There is no cost to participate in the study, and you will receive no payment for participating.  Participants may opt out of the study at any time. There are no conflicts of interest involved with this study. The study's design has been approved by the Virginia Commonwealth University's Human Research Protection Program (IRB Study # HM20029054). If all of that is okay with you, we hope that you will take the time out of your schedule to consider taking our survey and telling us about any existing or emerging data skills expectations in your job.

Please forward this to other librarians who might be interested. Thank you!
