SURVEY: Deadline this Friday! Academic Libraries and Library Consortia Roles in Increasing Relevance of OER

  • 1.  SURVEY: Deadline this Friday! Academic Libraries and Library Consortia Roles in Increasing Relevance of OER

    Posted Oct 15, 2024 08:36 AM

We are pleased to invite academic library or library consortia colleagues in the U.S., whose work connects to/ supports open educational resources (OER) or other aspects of open education, to complete our survey exploring the role of academic libraries and library consortia in increasing the relevance of open educational resources (OER) in local contexts.

The survey is part of a two-year planning grant exploring this topic awarded to the University System of Maryland by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

The survey is open now and can be accessed here. The deadline for completion is 11:59 pm ET on Friday, October 16, 2024. The survey is completely voluntary. Responses will be kept confidential and no IP or email addresses of respondents will be collected, nor will any attempt be made to identify responding institutions/consortia. Because IP addresses will not be collected, the survey must be completed in one session. Depending on the length of responses to the open-ended questions, we expect the survey to take 15-25 minutes to complete.

Additional details are summarized below. If you are a member of the two audiences listed, we invite you to complete the survey. You are also welcome to share this note with colleagues who fit the criteria for participation.

Questions about the project can be sent to Nancy O'Neill at cai@usmd.edu and questions about the survey can be sent to Gina Johnson at gina@dataempoweredconsulting.com.

    Many thanks,

Nancy O'Neill, co-PI and Executive Director, Kirwan Center for Academic Innovation, University System of Maryland

Joseph Koivisto, co-PI and Head of Consortial Digital Initiatives, University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) Library Consortium
