Unprecedented digital equity funding is coming for community organizations to provide broadband/devices, build information/digital literacy skills, and support workforce development. There is unlikely to be another opportunity like this in our lifetime to further the good work libraries of all types are already doing.

Join your fellow ACRL colleagues via Zoom between 1:00-2:00pm Central on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, to think together about how to communicate the role (and potential) of academic libraries to further digital equity during your state's planning stage. State planners are engaging community partners – including libraries – as they develop plans to promote digital equity, support digital inclusion activities, and build capacity for broadband adoption by residents (e.g., Illinois listening tour, California planning events, and West Virginia listening sessions). Showcase your good work and influence your state planners.

Drop in anytime during this open office hour with Michelle Frisque (broadband advisor to ALA) and Kara Malenfant (senior staff member at ACRL).
