    Posted Mar 06, 2025 04:35 PM

    Dear RIG community,

The Residency Interest Group (RIG) New Members and Mentorship (NMM) Team would like to share a programming update and plans for this year:

    • Community Calls: These moderated calls are focused on providing a safe space for current residents to be in community with each other, share resources, and get advice on current issues. Community Calls may also involve discussion groups, invited panelists and speakers, and other programming to support current residents.

    • Email list: If you are a current resident librarian or fellow, your email address will automatically be added to RIG's list serv and you will be opted-in to receive periodic emails from RIG on current events and programs. If you would like to opt-out of the email list and would not like to receive these emails, please contact rignewmembersandmentorship@gmail.com

How do I join the Community Calls?:

    • The first community call will take place in mid April.

    • Fill out this meeting poll by March 31st  with the dates and times that work best for you.

    • An event announcement will be sent out through the RIG listserv or through the RIG NMM Team email list.

How do I send feedback or requests to RIG NMM?

    • Please email the team chairs Natasha Griffin natashag@american.edu and Natalia Umaña natalia.umana@du.edu

    • RIG will send out a Membership Survey this year, it will contain questions regarding what kind of programming and support you would like to see from RIG NMM. Stay tuned!
